14 Things About Me
1. I love to knit, but hate following patterns.
2. I'm afraid of dead bodies- especially dead bodies in water. These totally freak me out.
3. Politically, I'm a registered Independent, with a libertarian bent.
4. I have a wonderful, totally heterogenous circle of friends, sadly scattered across the US.
5. The people with whom I'm closest are my Sister, the Man, and the Best Friend. Happily, 2/3 live nearby.
6. I am a pertual student- or at least it seems that way. I just graduated from Johns Hopkins University with an MS, and will soon decide whether to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology, specializing in brain injury (e.g., psychiatric symtoms expressing after stroke, traumatic brain injury), or bite the bullet and shoot for med school.
7. So far, I really enjoy getting older. I am much less stressed, healthier, and feel more confident now than even two or three years ago. (I am a child of the 70s- born in the very early 70s.)
8. I love to read, and used to love to write. I've kept a journal since I was 11, but it's been an on/off thing since the late 90s.
9. I am not a pet person.
10. I have brown eyes and brown hair, rather boring.
11. When my friends/family try to get on my good side, they tell me I look like Audrey Hepburn.
12. My sister and The Man say I'm terrifying when I'm angry (from Audrey to the Hulk, apparently! !!!)
13. I am awful at the Girl Arts. I have only a little bit of fashion sense, to be generous, and I can't put on makeup properly.
14. I am a HUGE Steeler and Penguin fan, having gone to college at University of Pittsburgh for my undergrad.
